L arrison Mortuary was founded by Jerry and Karellen Larrison in 1978 when they purchased Williams Mortuary (now named Larrison Mortuary) in Pratt, KS. The Larrisons have a son, Eric, that joined the family business in 1990 as a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer.

In 1984, the Larrison's purchased Foulk Funeral Home in Turon, KS (now named Larrison Funeral Home). It is located about 20 miles NE of Pratt. In 1994, the Larrison's purchased Forsyth Funeral Home (now named Larrison Funeral Home) in Medicine Lodge, KS. It is Located 30 miles south of Pratt.

In the summer of 2001, the Larrisons built a new facility to replace the old outdated mortuary in Pratt. The new mortuary was designed and staffed for maximum flexibility. For example, the main chapel is equipped with modern technology, so that as well as accommodating traditional musicians (organist, vocalist, etc.), we have the ability to play from families favorite cassette or CDs and record the service on cassette or VHS.
